      The Shugyo Dojo is a private non-commercial donation funded martial arts club located in Elmont. It offers traditional self-defense based karate instruction for adults. All interested persons are subject to interview for membership into the club. Training includes two person drills, break falls, seizing (throws, joint locks and manipulations), strangulations, and ground grappling. As well as solo forms, equipment training (heavy bags, focus mitts, etc.), fixed and free sparring.
