Founded in 1902, Winchester Optical Company is one of the oldest optical laboratories in the United States. The company is a contract laboratory for the Vision Service Plan and the Pennsylvania Vision Benefits of America (VBA). It is an authorized Varilux laboratory and has an in-house Crizal coating facility. In addition, the firm s Elmira laboratory fabricates digitally surfaced lenses. Winchester Optical Company serves customers in the Middle Atlantic States. The company s contact lens laboratory provides the Hi-Expectations gas perm multifocal lens.
