Dr. Rausch is an extremely knowledgeable, caring vet who can make animals comfortable and communicate with their owners about their animals' health needs in language they can understand. He's also been great about answering my geeky cat questions like whether cats are farsighted or not. His assistant is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, too. The clinic building itself is humble (it's an old farmhouse), but don't let that make you think you're not dealing with a consummate professional who can give you the absolute best care for your pet. Dr. Rausch is also one of the few area vets who treats large animals, which makes him worth his weight in gold!

I wouldn't take my animals to any place else for care. I have had llamas, horses, rabbits, dogs, cats, to name a few of the domestic animals receive excellent care there, as well as, wild animals through my previous occupation brought in for critical care (such as owls, and many seals) and the attention to detail specific care required for each species has been superb. Highly knowledgeable and you can feel comfortable knowing your animal will be cared for by people who care and will run the extra mile to provide for your animal. I can't say enough good regarding this facility. I just wish there were more medical facilities out there who cared for people the way this facility cares for the animals. The animals are received with respect and dignity no matter there condition or age and receive top of the line care. The facility concentrates on the animals care. You will see this as soon as you walk through the door, there is no high priced decor, just downeast farmhouse comfort.
