Windermere School, operated by the Ellington School District, offers enrollment to more than 800 students from grade kindergarten through six. It offers various academic courses that focus on the development of reading, writing, language arts and math skills. It also offers classes in physical education, English, science, social studies, foreign language, art, music and computer application. The school s library provides access to resources for students and staff in curriculum areas and also offers a variety of print and electronic sources to assist in the learning process. The school has a parent-teacher association that assists in curriculum development by enhancing communication between parents, students and teachers. Windermere School is located in Ellington, Conn.
