Mountain View Elementary School enrolls more than 550 students, and offers classes from grades kindergarten through five. The school s curriculum includes various subjects, such as language arts, math, science and technology, social studies, health education, English, computer science, arts and crafts, music and physical education. Its library and media center has a large collection of fiction and nonfiction books, textbooks, encyclopedias, picture books and other audiovisual reference materials. The school provides guidance and counseling to students. Its cafeteria serves a variety of food items for breakfast and lunch. Located in Ellijay, Ga., Mountain View Elementary School operates under the guidelines set by the Gilmer County School System.
