Guy called and decided he wasn't going to do an estimate for me because I was gathering 3 or 4 estimates on the job. Claims he doesn't do free estimates after stating on the phone previously that he does. His exact words... "I'm not in the business to provide free estimates." When questioned if he thinks this is an honorable business practice he said "Seems to have worked for years."
