This daycare has a mass checkout system. A friend of my child's father went to pick up my son (driving his fathers car) and my child was released to him no questions asked. This scares me tremendously as it should any mother.

The Learning Station is a great educational center that have and continue to produce high achieving students. Parents that put their childs education first have nothing but praises for the center director and the center. Dr. Fountain has a genuine concern and positive regard for all of the students, parents, faculty, staff and community. I highly recommend the center for my grandchild and everyone who place education first.

My baby go here I mean its okay. its sad how this turned from a small problem between two people into a standoff. This is so funny. The school is clean staff nice but just as any other business it can make a few adjustments. I never experienced what the parent experienced but I believe I would have been heated too. Black People are so blind one issue becomes a whole community going against each other. I am going to the other side. much better community. I do not like tearing each other down . black people need to do better. the school okay though I mean I am sure there is better. I don't know. this here is just a comedy show.

Great example of why black businesses can not grow. Instead of addressing the review the parent made in another manner. The actual owner clapped back at the parents review now it has became a page full of insults under her business page. lolololol we are doomed as a black community. I would have never answered the woman under my business page. Perfect example of what not to do when I open my daycare

The Learning Station is a loving, safe, educational, eye appealing, fun, professional center that I would definitely recommend to those in search of a quality rated facility. The staff is energetic and welcoming, the children are enthused about learning and bittersweet about leaving their teachers. The exposure that they introduce the kids to on very informing, educational and fun field trips is always awesome and memories made for a lifetime. The director is a successful ' black business' professional and pleasant with an upbeat spirit, strong willed mind, and an honest heart; filled with a caring vision for children and their futures. The Center itself has grown and still thriving and improving tremendously each day. Nothing in life will ever be perfect, but with dedication , hard working team and positive community and feed back on situations and ideas for improvement, it can keep excelling to provide the great service it does to the area. Let's keep in mind that it's about the CHILDREN. How are they and how were their lives impacted by the center and those that looked after them.

I am a neighbor of the parent. she is a great mother. as a aps provider for over 17 years I can see why she is upset. She instills great educational skills into her daughter at home. she did a great job and worked hard with her baby. Just like other parents on here she knew what awards she was getting and what award she did not deserve. I applaud her as a mother. Shame on the director for getting on here insinuating that she is not involved in her academic progression. as a APS PROVIDER and neighbor I would like to tell Jamary great job and continue being great with your daughter. I will not want a director like her involved in my child life especially as she spoke many lies on this woman.

I have been involved with The Learning Station for 3 1/2 years now. Before choosing this school, I visited 4 other childcare facilities, this were my only choice without a doubt. The Director, Dr. Fountain, took me on a tour, explained their curriculum and was very professional. I have kids that attends this facility. My kids look forward to going to school every day. My oldest is a Pre-k student at the facility. During a parent teacher conference held at the beginning of the school year, the teachers informed me of the areas which my child was struggling and areas we need to work on. They encouraged reinforcing school work at home and completing assigned homework as a way to improve my child's skills in certain subject areas. Well I did just that each day therefore I'm excited to share that last week we attended the honors day program where the pre-k and kindergarten students were honored. All of the kids were honored for their successful completion of the program. Other kids were honored for doing good in certain areas like reading, writing and math to name a few. Although my child can write and add. My child received an honor for being a remarkable reader because that's what I reinforced mostly at home. No other honor was expected. The honors day program was well put together. The kids put on a great show. They were all so very happy. It brings me great joy to see the kids develop. Overall, The Learning Station does a great job with these kids. I will highly recommend this school to anyone who's shopping around for a childcare facility. I'm so glad that The Learning Station goes through Kindergarten because my oldest is looking forward to attending Kindergarten next year. Kudos to Dr. Fountain and The Learning Station!!!!

The most professional place I have ever had my 3 children. Dr. Fountain, teachers, and staff are so loving and caring towards all the children at the center. My youngest still attends and loves it. He is well prepared for kindergarten. I commend Dr. Fountain for a great educational environment she provides. I am so happy I was referred to this center.

As a parent who appreciates the learning station and the environment it provides for my child, I would also like to remain anonymous while I share my experience with the school. I was also there at the award ceremony that all the other parents who have previously reviewed the school. Regarding the seating issue at the ceremony, my family of three (not including my child that was in the ceremony) had adequate seating throughout the event. Now it is to be expected when a family brings several members of their family to a preschool ceremony, especially when the parents are aware that the school only had 45 honorees, seating is to be matched to the number of children being honored, not to accounted for casualties such as fifteen plus people in a family because this is only a preschool ceremony. This being said I am not stating that it is not acceptable to bring family members to praise and honor your child, I am simply stating be mindful of these things. After the ceremony, there was a parent who got very upset and unruly at one of the teachers because there was a misunderstanding with an award that was supposed to be given to a student. As a parent, I do understand her frustration, however I do not condone her approach. First the setting of the ceremony was a church, second there were a lot of children around to hear this parent be belligerently loud and unruly with this teacher. Foul language is something I know each parent teaches their child not to use, so I found it shocking that this had occurred especially in that manner. In regard to professionalism as a mother, that was very unprofessional and embarrassing to watch. Now, when it comes to speaking on the director of the school, Sharona Fountain, I believe she is doing an adequate job upholding the reputation of the school and addressing the situation that occurred that day. It is easy to say that Dr. Fountain's child received multiple awards because of Fountain's status, however I so happen to know her child to be a very bright, intelligent, young boy, who so happened to deserve each award he received that evening.

It's really funny how most of the negative comments came after this honors program. To me, that should tell people that parents are just mad about what did or did not happened at this event. If they truly felt anything negative, the comments and complaints would have been started. I think the school is great. My daughter has a great relationship with her teachers and I'm very appreciative. I know the areas where my daughter is slacking and was not expecting her to receive an award. Overall, they are teaching the kids skills that are on a higher level than their age requirement. Us as parents do not know what level Dr. Fountain son is learning at and may have deserve every award he received. Instead of being so judgmental, try and give solutions to help fix the problem you felt happened at the honors program. This school is amazing and I will recommend it to others.

I was reading some of these comments & was shocked to read some of the awful things that were said about The Learning Station.. First, Dr fountain isn't rude and she is very professional. I think the problem that some parents have with her is that she is honest and straight to the point. She is not a teacher she is the director of the school and all those awards came from your child's teachers not Dr Fountain. My son attends the learning station and when I looked at the program I instantly knew all of the awards that my son would get and the ones he wouldn't because I am very involved in my sons schooling. The areas that I knew he was slacking in he didn't receive an award for. The areas that I knew he was excelling in are the ones he got rewarded for. My son also had an issue one day on the play ground and I received two phone calls and a letter was sent home explaining to me exactly what happened. We as parents can't expect the school to teach our kids everything, we have to help them out at home as well. To the parents that have kids that didn't receive any awards, maybe you should be more concerned as to why your child didn't excel in those areas and stop saying they should have received awards just because. I went through a lot of frustrating nights and mornings, going over homework and site words with my son to make sure he excels and I don't think it's fair for kids to get rewarded just because. Then if u just look at these comments most of the people saying these horrible things about the learning station can't even spell or use correct grammar or pronunciation themselves.. So maybe y'all should enroll with y'all children, y'all might could learn a thing or two. No I'm not a family member or Freind I'm just a parent that is really involved with my child's schooling and really understands the importance of that. With that being said, if you are a parent that wants your child to really excel The Learning Station is for you..

The owner here is rude. If she gets addressed on any issue in there she will become rude hostile loud and inappropriate. I do not believe this is a good business if she do not like too be corrected on actions of her and staff. Every one raises their children different so everybody stop the madness. Respect goes a long way.

In regards to Jamary Jefferson comment on 5/20/2017, unfortunately this parent is upset about our Honor’s Day Program. Yes… A Preschool Honor’s Day Program for Georgia Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Private Pre-K students. Every student received some type of award at our program 5/18. However, we honor students each year with an Academic Criteria. We believe that students need to know that the amount of effort they have given throughout the year is not determined by the number of awards they receive at a Honor’s Day Program. In a perfect world, everyone should receive recognition for his/her contributions, but that’s not always the case. These are life skills that we should be teaching our kids. Hard work pays off! We award students who excel throughout the school year! The Learning Station is a quality rated center, and we strive for excellence every day. However, it is imperative for parents to take some responsibility as well…because parents are the first teacher. For example, help your child with his/her homework, read to your child every night, come to the parent -teacher conferences, and be involved in your child’s educational career. Let’s not wait until Honor’s Day to be concerned and mad because your child didn't receive a plethora of awards. Our goal is to prepare our children for elementary school, and we do just THAT! We have a great program and great teachers...and most importantly we love our students!

Both of my children had a great experience at TLS. They can both read, do math, and learned great social skills taught here. The teachers here and the owner are very professional and I would highly recommend this daycare to everyone!

The Learning Station is an excellent education institute. The staff and owner, Dr. Fountain, are like family. The love they show to the children is over and beyond your expectations. I am a single parent and they are always there to help me. I recommend them for anyone looking for a school or daycare provider for their children. Trust me, you will love it!!!
