Ellenville Middle School offers education to more than 500 students in grades five through eight. Its curriculum includes English, science, social studies, foreign language, technology and computers, and physical and health education. Its library and media center provides Internet access and has a collection of more than 18,000 books, periodicals and newspapers. The school organizes fundraising music concerts and has a guidance department that offers individual and group counseling, crisis intervention services and academic and career consultation to students. It provides medical assistance, speech and language pathology, and food and transportation assistance. The extracurricular activities offered by the school include music, jazz and marching bands, educational trips and science fairs. The school is affiliated with the Ellenville Central School District and is located in Ellenville, N.Y.
