Founded in 1960, the Council on Aging offers information and referral services for senior citizens. It maintains a staff of personal supporters and coordinators. The organization provides transportation and companion services. The Council on Aging offers a range of homemaking services, such as vacuuming, dusting, bath cleaning, window washing and meal preparation. It provides respite care, household repair, seasonal yard work and maintenance services. The organization s attendant services include assistance in bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, nail care and medication reminders. It additionally offers food pantry, grocery shopping, health insurance and advocacy services. The Council on Aging is located in Elkhart, Ind.
