Jimtown South Elementary, a part of Baugo Community Schools, offers educational and extracurricular programs for children up to fifth grade. Jimtown has a fully equipped computer laboratory and library. The school s curriculum includes mathematics, English, science, foreign languages, history, geography, economics, physical education, phonics, music, and arts and crafts. Its extracurricular activities include knowledge bowl, family, career and community leaders of America organization, junior-senior banquet, state fine arts and academic competitions, band and choir concerts, and National Honor Society. Jimtown regularly organizes an array of social events, such as musical concerts, alumni banquet, donkey basketball game and field day. The school offers a number of sports programs, such as girl and boy s basketball, cheerleading, baseball, tennis, badminton, swimming, soccer and softball.
