      General Info
      The Instructor - Sheryl L. Tolson Sheryl Tolson is an active member of the Elk Grove community. She has performed throughout the area as a soloist for the City of Elk Grove, "Salute to Red, White, and Blue", the Elk Grove Rotary Club, and other community groups. Sheryl received her bachelor's degree in music from California State University Sacramento. She has taught voice and piano to all ages for more than fifteen years. Sheryl also holds a multi-subject teaching credential in elementary education and teaches 2nd grade in the Elk Grove Unified School District. Bringing the beauty and fun of music to children is important to her. Many have benefited from the music appreciation and music education programs she has organized throughout the area.

      Vocal Instruction So you think you would like to learn how to sing? You actually already know how! These lessons will take your natural abilities and give your voice freedom to fly. You will learn how to read music through a fun music theory series. You will learn how to keep the beat and hear your pitches by practicing sight-singing exercises. And you will be singing fun songs from the classical masters to Broadway hits. Proper breath support and use of your vocal instrument is the foundation of a great voice. Musical Possibilities will help you discover your voice! Piano Instruction It is never too late to learn how to read music and enjoy playing an instrument. Lessons are taught using the proven Alfred Music series books. Incorporating music theory as well as proper playing techniques is an essential part of every lesson. Scale drills and rhythm training become fun as you master the piano keys. Music Theory Instruction Learn to write and read music. You will learn how to read the music, compose simple pieces, and develop musical skills for use in your business or in your personal life.

      Musical Possiblities is a music studio operated out of my home in Elk Grove. The studio is only open on Sunday and Monday evenings.
      Amenities
      Lesson costs: 1/2 hour lessons- $25 45 minute lessons- $35 First Lesson - $8 start up cost will be charged for student books and supplies. All lessons are one-on-one with the instructor. Lessons are scheduled weekly for each student. Cost for music copies, books, and/or accompaniment tapes will be passed on to the student when necessary. Payment is due at the time of the lesson. 24 hour notice is necessary for any cancellation.
