General Info
We offer year-round tent camping, rustic camping cabins, and a retreat cottage with full kitchen and bath. Camping at Abrams Creek is more like camping in a nature preserve than in a commercial campground. On our campground, there are no generators, loud electronics, or other things that would distract from appreciating the sights and sounds of this pristine natural environment. Campsites and cabins are well spaced out, so that there is never a feeling of crowding. A few are screened from other campsites, but all are sufficiently far apart the neighbors do not intrude on each other. Many are riverside sites; you can choose between wild whitewater, rushing river, and wider calmer areas. All campsites are soft, level, shaded forest floor with a picnic table, fire ring, and block-and-board bench. The campground has 20 acres of hemlock forest bordered by a wild whitewater stream. Some areas are boulders, pools, and turbulent water—great to watch or play in. One large area towards the end of the campground is a calm wading area good for children (with careful supervision of course), and just past that is a deeper section, 5’-7’ deep, that is good for swimming. Abrams Creek also the facilities to host group events up to 200 people, including a fully-equipped commercial kitchen and covered open-air dining areas. We offer year-round tent camping, rustic camping cabins, and a retreat cottage with full kitchen and bath.
