Garfield Elementary School, located in Elgin, Ill., is a coeducational institution that has a staff of more than 30 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals. Garfield Elementary School is a part of School District U-46, which operates over 55 educational institutions with a combined enrollment of approximately 39,900 students. The school s core curriculum includes fine and performing arts, music, physical education, English, math, science, social studies, and life and special education. Established in 1889, Garfield Elementary School provides academic programs to nearly 385 students in prekindergarten through grade six.
