The food is great! The service not so much! Last week they got the order wrong. This week they didn't want to take my order. Looks like if you know the family they take care of you.
I ate here for dinner recently and had the eggplant parm, and it was the best I've ever had.

Pastas are top notch, so are the sandwiches, you just have to go there. If you like quality food, go here.
If you're looking for a small, quaint little place with linen table cloths and great prices, this is it. Located in a commercial building in the NW corner of Elgin just North of I-90 and east of Randall Road this unassuming spot will impress you. Just open a few weeks it had catered to mostly just the lunch crowd for all of the commercial office buildings but now it is expanding to dinner two nights a week and the owners advise that will be expanded as business grows. Great sandwiches, pasta, and salads. Dinner for two can be as low as $30 with tip or around $50 with alcohol and dessert. The desserts are gourmet with presentation you would expect from a large expensive space. The staff was very friendly, warm, and the owners make a point to come to the table to inquiry if the meal and the visit were acceptable. I truly hope they make a go of it, the area needs more places like this. The only thing hindeing would be location in the evening, but since its in an office park the parking is endless and the outsside dining area is very quiet since it is on the oppisite side from the tolway in a nice parklike setting. We'll be bakc for sure.
