General Info

WE CAN REPAIR ANY CLOCK OR TIMEPIECE. We make house calls for grandfather clocks in the morning (8am-11am) and in the evening (6pm-8pm) during the week. We repair all sorts of clocks including wall, mantle, cuckoo clocks, novelty, etc. We also replace watch batteries. We repair all types of watches too. I am a 2nd generation clocksmith. I learned the trade from my father and have been doing this for 44 years. I am certified by the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute. I am sorry but I do not return telephone calls. There is just not enough time in the day. I am a 1 person business. I can not afford to add help at this time. When I repair a clock I put it through a 2-week test to make sure everything works O.K. Sometimes it breaks down again due to something else. When a clock has been through the 2 week test and passed I call the customer and inform them that their clock is done. It does take some time to repair a clock; so if your in a rush I would not be the place to go. I do stand behind my work. Thank you for very much for your business and patience. We have been in Elgin for over 32 years and service, South Elgin, Lake-in-the-Hills, Algonquin, Dundee, Carpentersviile, Plato Center, Burlington, Hampshire, Huntley, Marengo, Fox River Grove, Barrington, Sleepy Hollow, Cary Crystal Lake, Mchenry, Bartlett, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, IL. History Established in 1955. I learned the trade from my father who started this when he was out of high school. I have been doing it for 44 years. I am "OLD school" and learnt that from my father.

The man told me it would take awhile and would call me when it was ready. He was straight up. He told me he was a 1 man shop and it takes him some time to do. It really was not a problem for me to wait. He truly is a small business and I want to support that today. Otherwise it gets sent out to a shop outside my area who really knows where it would go. Well, my cuckoo clock runs great. Thanks.

Quality and Care

We've been customers since we obtained our Seth Thomas grandfather clock in the late '70s. Whenever we need it serviced & maintained, they have always done a wonderful job. I have taken a german music box that my parents have had since I was a small child in for repair and it now plays as beautifully as when it was brand new!

Service Outstanding.

I've been an American Black Forest Clock customer since the 1980's.Keith and Earl have always done an outstanding job on more than just my clocks. They replace batteries on watches, sell very unique gifts and cards. They go out of the way to accomodate your schedule and wishes.I would never try another service for my regulator clocks.

I think they've gone out of business. I left a clock there for repair 12/29/09 and they promised a phone estimate in two weeks. It's now been four weeks and when I call there they referred me to another number but all I get using that number is an answering machine that says it is Keith's clock repair and to leave a message, which never seems to get returned.
