Abbott Middle School provides educational services for more than 500 students in grades seven and eight. Its academic curriculum includes math, science, physical education, history and social studies. The school also organizes various sports activities, such as volleyball, football, basketball and soccer. Abbott Middle School offers intramural activities and tutorial classes. In addition, it has a student council, book club and School Improvement Planning Committee. The school provides special education services for gifted and talented students. Abbott Middle School also organizes spelling bee competitions and reality fairs. Its extracurricular activities include dance and band. Abbott Middle School is a part of Illinois School District U-46, which enrolls students in elementary, middle and high schools.
