West Central Minnesota Communities Action is a nonprofit organization that serves the homeless. It offers the Transitional Housing Program, which provides temporary housing to those in need of assistance in moving from homelessness to stable housing. The organization also offers the FPAP Program, which includes credit counseling and mortgage assistance to households facing foreclosure due to temporary financial crisis. West Central Minnesota Communities Action s case management services include information and referral services, budget and credit counseling. It also provides Head Start, a federal program for preschool children from low-income families. In addition, the organization provides the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, a volunteer development and management program that encourages people over the age of 55 throughout the United States to participate in useful volunteer services in their communities.
