Loma Verde Elementary School, administered by the Socorro Independent School District, serves more than 1,100 students in prekindergarten through six. It offers a variety of educational, extracurricular and athletic programs. The school also offers parenting classes and peer mediation, intersession and volunteering programs. In addition, it provides various extracurricular activities, such as art fair, orchestra program, band, choir, science fair, and yearbook and recycling clubs. The school offers a TEKS Academies program, which is a school-wide planning program that encompasses all descriptors addressed in the curriculum for students in prekindergarten through grade six.
