Greenleaf Nursery offers a complete line of container-grown nursery stock to nurseries, garden centers and landscapers nationwide. Founded in 1945 by Harold and Rebecca Nickel, the company was originally operated as a cash-and-carry retail and landscape nursery in Muskogee, Okla. In 1971, a second growing location was purchased near the Texas gulf coast at El Campo, Texas, approximately 75 miles southwest of Houston. Since, Greenleaf has grown into one of America's largest, most diverse nursery production operations, with locations in Texas, Oklahoma and North Carolina. During the peak part of the growing season, the company employs more than 1,000 people.
