I had both axles replaced at Broadway Automotive (now under one roof with Rods Automotive). 1 months later my car seized up on a 55mph road. We are extremely lucky that everyone survived without major injuries. We took the car to a master mechanic who has been in business for over 20 years. First thing he asked was if we had the axles recently replaced. Yes. He said, the axles were not properly installed, and the differential oil was never re-filled, which is different in a Toyota than in other cars. The seizing of the differential destroyed the transmission, which will now require $1800 to repair. We tried to resolve the issue with Broadway/Rods Automotive. Both of the people that were supposedly in charge refused to take any responsibility for the damage incurred, suggesting we should have brought the car in earlier.
