- Osteoporosis
- Primary CarePlease tell us ahead of time if you are diabetic so that we can work with your primary care provider to determine if a PET/CT scan is safe for you.
- ElectrocardiogramCoronary CT Angiography (CTA) is the least-invasive CT exam currently available for detecting coronary artery disease. In 2001, Atlantic Medical Imaging was the first imaging center in South Jersey to offer Coronary CTA. This procedure is so advanced that only a handful of imaging centers in the world have the technology and skilled personnel qualified to perform it. With this test, we can detect heart disease in its earliest stages, catching signs that would be invisible in other exams such as an EKG or stress test.
- ImmunizationsAMI complies with the current Executive Orders in place surrounding the requirements of COVID-19 Vaccinations & Boosters, and eligible exemptions for healthcare workers.
- Pregnancy
- Lung CancerLung cancer is responsible for 1 out of every 3 cancer deaths and is the second most frequently diagnosed cancer in men and women. While heavy smokers are at the greatest risk for the disease, 60% of lung cancer patients are individuals who never smoked or who quit decades ago. Only 16% of lung cancers are diagnosed at their earliest, most curable stages. If caught early, patients can increase their treatment options while improving their outcomes and survival rate.

- UltrasoundDuring an ultrasound patients usually lie down on a table as a sonographer applies a gel over the area that will be examined. An ultrasound device consists of a monitor and an attached transducer. The transducer releases sound waves over the body part being examined. The information from these sound waves are sent back to the monitor and display on screen as a live-feed video.
- MRIMagnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is one of the most powerful imaging tools in modern medicine. Unlike many imaging devices, the MRI uses magnets instead of radiation to create images. MRIs are also painless and noninvasive, making them one of the most effective and efficient imaging tests currently available.
- RadiologyFrom its humble beginnings as a one-man radiology practice, Atlantic Medical Imaging has now grown into an expansive imaging provider with 23 offices throughout New Jersey. All of our locations are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to facilitate fast and accurate results. All of our radiologists are board certified and fellowship trained, so you can trust you are being cared for by an experienced professional.
- X-Rays
- Nuclear MedicineSome patients feel anxious when they hear the term “nuclear medicine”. Radiation and nuclear activity are not words commonly associated with health, but we can assure you that nuclear medicine is a proven and highly effective imaging technique that has been used for more than 60 years. Though it is called “nuclear” medicine, the amount of radiation patients are exposed to is roughly the same as a standard X-ray. Various studies have confirmed this procedure safe for patients without any long-term side effects.
- MammographyIt is widely believed that digital mammography is the single most effective way to detect breast cancer in its earliest stages. Early detection improves survival and increases treatment options.
- Computed TomographyPositron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) are two imaging techniques that serve different functions. PET is a nuclear imaging procedure used to detect changes in metabolism, cell function, and chemical reactions in the body, among other things. CT scanning is a more mainstream imaging test that can be used in many contexts.
- Radiation Therapy
- Interventional RadiologyYou can think of fluoroscopy as an x-ray “movie.” In this imaging procedure, an x-ray is continually passing through the body and transmitting an image to a nearby monitor. This allows the radiologist at Atlantic Medical Imaging to observe the movement of the body in great detail. Fluoroscopy is primarily used to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and guide surgeons during minimally invasive interventional radiology procedures.
