      Dr. Woods is board certified in and serves as an Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic and Neurological spine surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Woods completed his residency program in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and went on to complete his Spine Surgery fellowship at The Rothman Institute.Dr. Woods has conducted extensive research in the field of orthopaedics and continues to do so, specifically in the treatment of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine pathologies. He has authored numerous publications, book chapters, abstracts, and poster and podium presentations and is a member of a number of professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

      Outstanding Physician, Outstanding Medical Professional, Outstanding Person

      Dr. Woods is an exceptional physician and human being, I have worked in the healthcare industry for more than 25 years and I have never met any physician like him. He is confident, intelligent as well as an extremely skilled Orthopedic Surgeon. He saved my husbands life, and I will be forever grateful!!

      Great Doctor

      I took my mother to see Dr. Woods. She had a very complex cervical spine problem and two other doctors refused to see her. Dr. Woods spent a tremendous amount of time explaining the problem my mother had and laid out all of the options for treatment. We were very happy how he explained things to us and took the time to get to know who my mother was as a person.
