A few days, visiting a relative, 5 of us decided on ordering Chinese, 1 of us wanted to try the House of Soul, after ordering Chinese, we went in to the House of Soul, first, the music of the 70's and 80's hit our ears, then we were greeted by the nicest people I have met in a long time, they made you feel at home, we ordered some food and left, Well, No one touched the $60 of Chinese food, it was pushed to the side...The food at House of Soul was Excellent...We stopped back in 2days later for more, and were greeted again like family!!...We live an hour away and we will definitely be back!!...Whether you live in area or just passing through, stop and enjoy, you will be glad you did!!

This was the most soulful experience I have had in the Poconos. Upon entering the house of soul, last month, I was greeted by the nostalgic music from the 80"s that just made my feet tap and move; the chef hair netted and be-gloved was busy preparing the previous order, while the pleasant servers took my order of Friday's Special Fish and Chips. I did not know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size, the flavor of the sweet yam chips and the delicious fried whitings fish. I tasted one fried chip, as I drove towards my destination, it was so fresh and tasty, I had to park my car on the side of the road where I ate the entire order. Ummh...Ummh.. The food is very good and it is always so fresh. The southern experience that you get when you walk into this fantastic restaurant can't be beat. The food is out of this world and I truly believe that this restaurant should be nominated for the HOODIE AWARDS. Great place and it feels like your sitting in your living room with family. Friendly, clean place with delicious home cooking. A welcome change from Chinese and pizza which are pretty much your only other choices in the area. Huge portions with great prices, this place will not disappoint bring an appetite.

This restaurant is very good and very nice. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food is awesome and very southern. I love the pigs feet, collard greens and the baked macaroni and cheese. The chef is a genius with the flavors and the seasonings. Reminds me of my youth down south. Great place to eat and I love the music.. The atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. I will definitely be back again.

Today my cousin and I ate here, needless to say, the food was amazing. The employees were so polite and made you feel apart of the family. Food taste so good and they are very clean. I highly recommend getting away from the norm and try Andraus House of Soul!

The food is so good it made me think about my youth in Charleston, SC where my grandmother would cook for me. The food is delicious and I recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone who loves soul food.

Great soul food, prices are reasonable and Friday Fish day is a welcomed treat especially in this area. We cannot get food like this! Please support this eatery. Fish is fresh, I was pleasantly suprised.
