The other review on this site could not be more true. The DON definitely does not know much about Long Term Care or employee management as there are either too many staff of not enough. Her ability to make well thought out decisions regarding resident care seems to be compromised daily and when a family member like myself makes a request or has an issue regarding the care of their loved one the DON says she will address the issue but in fact is very slow to follow through if she follows at all. She has difficulty remembering things that she says and regularly her words do not make sense. I don't know what is going on but anytime I have had a question about the care of my loved one and request a meeting with the Administrator I am told that he is not in that day. I have been to the facility on many occasions during business hours and have stopped by the Administrator's office only to find that the door is closed and locked. When I ask when he will return, staff responds by saying, "I don't know. I think he's gone for the day." I really miss the former DON as she was very knowledgeable and readily answered any questions that I had and now when I ask the DON a question, I have to sit through this big, longwinded string of words that doesn't make any sense and isn't relative to my question. I keep hoping things will get better but if they don't change very soon I will more than likely move my loved one as this once nice facility has quickly become substandard at best in a very short time since the new administrator took over in March and is rapidly going even further downhill since the new DON came in June. The nurses and CNA's do the best they can with the leadership they have and they give good care for the most part but it seems there is a higher turnover rate with staff now as well. I've seen some really good nurses and cna's come and go in a very short period and am positive its due to the lack of experience and poor management of the new administrator and DON

The Building appears nice and well kept. At first glance it appears to be a lovely little place to have your loved one placed. It has undergone some changes recently with management. The new DON there Bethany Clearly has not had much experience running a long term care facility. She seems confused about things she should clearly be knowledgeable about. She seems like she is always trying to push the responsibilities of task off on other staff members. She has even come into work seen to be noticeably under the influence of a mind altering substance. She couldn't even walk down the hall without stumbling and slurring her words. This has happened on more than one occasion and nothing has been done. The administrator Jim has even refused to address the situation. I would seriously caution against putting your loved one in this long term care facility.
