Each year, JFK accommodates more than 20,000 admissions, 3,000 births, and more than 50,000 Emergency Room visits. Key divisions of the Medical Center are the Regional Cancer Center, New Jersey Neuroscience Institute, JFK Center for Behavioral Health, Family Practice Center and JFK Mediplex Surgery Center. The JFK Imaging Center provides a full range of diagnostic examination services and houses the JFK Breast Center. The JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute: The 94-bed facility is nationally renowned for the diagnosis and treatment of, and the education and advocacy for those with physical disabilities. A major component of the institute is the Center for Head Injuries and the innovative Day Rehabilitation Program, an alternative to inpatient care that provides comprehensive rehabilitation on an outpatient basis.
