My Mamacita had knee surgery...she is 71 and was required to have her rehab at a assisted living center. She was taken to the Retama Manor Nursing Center in Edinburg...I for one was scared and voiced my opinion for my Mamacita not to go there just because of all the bad hype of all nursing homes....well to my surprise, my Mamacita recieved the BEST patient service. The Nurses, Physical Therapists, and CNA's were awesome. They treated my Mamacita with all the respect in the world. Her room was always cleaned. The nurses gave her the best patient care and the PTs were loving/caring yet firm so that she can get back on her feet....that they did. My Mamacita only stayed at the center for 7 days...was walking so well...while she was happy to be going home...there was a sadness because she would not be seeing these people anymore. Thank you Retama Manor Nursing Center in Edinburg for taking care of my Mamacita.
