Here is my experience with Eden prairie Kumon. Let me first Tell abt my kid who is a kumon student just to make sure that this review is honest. He is a 7 year old boy, one amongst the top twenty in the entire North America Kumon. He is a member of Davidson Young Scholar for highly Gifted and Talented.
When we joined kumon, I consistently observed that he would take more than 2 and a half hours for two subjects. Please note that he would take less than 20 minutes to complete 5 pages. Yes, ep Kumon is highly CROWDED and kids spend a lot of time standing in long queues to just get the work corrected.
I launched a complaint but the long wait times Continued so, I used to pick the work for the whole week.It was 6 months ago, I finally decided to shift to Another kumon center. Just before shifting, in the month of April, when my Kid passed "F" level Math test, Little did I know that They have a grudge on me!
It is in the month of November, I came to know that an award is given by the Kumon for all the students who enter G level before 5th grade. It is a gold star award(not that I'm crazy about awards and whether my kid gets the award or not he is and will still be a bright student. For that matter, every student is bright and special whether he gets an award or not-- just that smile when a kid receives an appreciation. Now, Ep kumon had my kid's "G" by 5 star award but they never intimated me(please note that they had my husband's and my mobile numbers and email ids). I called them and they recklessly said that the award is lying on their desk. When I went to collect it, I was surprised that they never apologized(the award was with them for more than 6 months now) and They never congratulated my kid! These incidents of their reckless behavior towards Their ex-student indicates their lack of judgment, a lack of administrative ability, a lack of professionalism, a lack of skill. I realized that they are actually quite an unprofessional team filled with personal grudges.
