Mountain View Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 250 students. Opened in 1962, the school features over 10 classrooms and a library, multipurpose room and play shed. Its special staff includes counselors, nurses, remediation educators and media specialists. The school promotes participation in band and chorus and operates chess and gardening clubs. It also organizes talent shows and maintains a parent-teacher association that works for the welfare of children and youth in home, school and community. Mountain View Elementary School, located in Edgewood, Wash., is a part of the Puyallup School District, which is one of largest educational districts in the state of Washington.
