Adult and Community Education is a school that offers a range of instructional classes in gardening, home remodeling, cooking and dance. The school provides computer and business training programs. It conducts parenting and exercise classes, as well as financial workshops. The school also offers alternative education in applied trades. Adult and Community Education manages a staff of supervisors, teachers, media center paraprofessionals and counselors. In addition, the school conducts parent orientation sessions and parent-teacher conferences. It is a part of East Detroit Public Schools, which operates elementary, secondary and community schools. Adult and Community Education is located in Eastpointe, Mich.
