The Waterboro Fire Department, also known as WFD, is a part of the Town of Waterboro in Maine, which provides municipal and administrative services. The Waterboro Fire Department offers a range of fire safety programs and services. Operational for more than 65 years, the department provides a variety of fire prevention and emergency medical services. It offers services to over 7,000 residents in an area of nearly 55 square miles. The department handles approximately 2,200 fire incidents annually. It additionally issues burn permits. The town also operates a parks and recreation department. It additionally maintains a transfer station and recycling center.
