General Info

Central Avenue Paint & Hardware Supply, as we were originally known, began in 1983 as a single storefront located at 423 Central Avenue by our founder, PK Mukherjee. Before long, PK's new little store outgrew his storefront and began expanding, adding storefront after storefront in the building until Central Avenue Paint & Hardware Supply occupied nearly the entire first floor. When we eventually outgrew that building, the store was moved to the site of the former Oldsmobile dealership a few blocks east on Central Avenue, where it was renamed Central Avenue Ace Home Center, and flourished before ultimately being moved to its current location, 520 Main Street (Brick Church Commons) in East Orange. Upon moving to Main Street, the store was renamed in honor of Prad Mukherjee, who had been an owner and responsible for much of the company's success over the years. Prad tragically passed away after a battle with cancer in the summer of 2013.

Located in the Brick Church Commons on Main Street, near the corner of Main Street and Lincoln Street (across from Shoprite's parking lot).

Ample parking in lot behind store. Entrances to lot exist off William Street, Lincoln Street, and Prospect Street. Store has Entrances both in the front and in the rear.
