East Hartford Middle School enrolls more than 1,200 students and offers classes in grades seven and eight. The school s curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, health education, language arts, mathematics, science and technology, social studies, foreign languages, computer science, fine arts, music and physical education. It also provides various special education programs for students with special needs. The school offers various clubs and extracurricular activities, including student council, robotics, rap, guitar and art clubs, mentor group, mock trial and debate, drama, homework, knitting and Leo clubs. It also has athletic teams for cross country, soccer, basketball, cheerleading, softball, swimming and volleyball. The school has a fully equipped library, and a parent teacher association that organizes and participates in various school events. Located in East Hartford, Conn., the school is part of the East Hartford Public Schools.
