For the first eleven years of his dental career, he was an officer in the US Army Dental Corps. While serving in the Army, Dr. Langan completed two tours in South Korea and one tour in Germany, in addition to stateside assignments at Fort Campbell, KY, and Fort Gordon, GA. Most recently, he served as Chief of Endodontics for the Fort Eustis, Virginia, Dental Activity from July 2002 to June 2004. While in the Army, Dr. Langan was awarded three Meritorious Service medals and one Army Commendation medal. In addition, he earned the Parachutist Badge and the Expert Field Medical Badge.
