Established in 1991, Pioneer Optics Company designs and manufactures fiber optic devices used for laser beam delivery in a variety of medical and industrial original equipment manufacturer (OEM) applications. It offers a range of products, such as cylindrical diffusers, micro-lens diffusers, side-firing fibers, surgical and dermatological fibers and various fibers used in industrial control and sensing systems. Located in Bloomfield, Conn., its capabilities include cleaving, polishing, sheathing, multi-furcation and many more. Pioneer Optics Company is ISO 13485 certified and specializes in fiber optic laser technology. In addition, the firm manufactures precision-cleaved glass optical fibers.
