Every time we have eaten at Charlie's we have LOVED the food. The bread is to die for! Every time we go up that way from metro Atlanta we can't wait to eat at Charlie's!

I have to disagree with the last reviewer. I have found the owner/manager Collette to be a shining star. This restaurant always receives a 100% health department rating, with the volumn of customers they serve, this is amazing. The are sticklers for details and I love that. I think that that red sauce has a very nice rich and fresh taste (unlike ragu). They serve fresh hot bread and REAL Romano cheese. I was even pleasantly served their steak which was a real treat. The parking lot does not stay full because they serve bad food. I love it!

FOOD IS TASTELESS AND OWNER IS RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS!!!

I was looking forward to some authentic Italian food but would of had a better meal by opening a bottle of Ragu!!! All three meals we ordered were bland and tasteless, and when we received the check were shocked by the hidden upcharges which no one mentioned when ordering. When I asked to speak to a manager regarding this the owner came over and I her behavior was insulting. When we inquired as to why we were being charged extra for gluten-free pasta she gave us a condesending reply as to how the pasta was specially imported from Italy. This is ridiculous, gluten free past is available in supermarkets nationwide. I have to eat gluten free and have never had a restaurant charge extra for it. When I told her we were unhappy with the quality of the meal this woman said that's the way it is and grapped the money off the table and walked away!!! I have never been treated this way by anyone and am still shocked

Great food, good service. We were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Clean, fair prices.

Very good food I live in Blue Ridge not Ellijay and would go a lot more often if it was closer. Still it is not that far...good enough food and great variety for us to make special trips to go have a great fine dining experience every now and then. Of course the big red chair is always a kids favorite. No matter where you go sometimes your waiters waitresses will not be in the best of mood. They are human just like we are. Unless they are just way out of line I can put up with a bad day from anyone when the food is outstanding.

Great food and beautiful place to dine. But the waitress was in a mood again last week. If she would only smile and talk to her customers she would come across much better. Also check on their drink once and awhile.....

Wow! What a shock to see that review. My whole family (16) has eaten there since they opened, and we have never had a bad meal or bad service. The owner's, Charlie and Collette are the most courteous people, and anxious for everyone to have a wonderful dining experience. I suggest you try again!

the SERVICE is BAD, the FOOD was BAD , WE WILL NOT GO BACK
