On April 12, 2016, I was introduced, by Lawyer Jeffrey Gaston, to Lawyer Florence Bowen (fbowenslaw), at her law office at Law Office Of Whitfield & Bowens, Lyckan Pkwy Ste , NC 27707, to receive counsel on clear the title of my property, inherited from my father, which my grandmother was on the deed with my father instead my mother, which they were marred at the time of the purchase of the house. Now, I have to deal with heir property. I have 3 signed quick claim deeds which was filed with Waynce County Recorder of Deeds and 4 of the heirs are deceased, which is an issue because, my father never done a will from his mother prior to her passing.

Now, I made a list of all my cousins of the 4 heirs which is 25% of the property and Lawyer Gaston gave the list to Lawyer Bowen and made a determination that she would take my case after, I paid her $2800 on the 12th of April, 2016, which is the same day I met her. To this date, my mother and I are still paying a loan from OCWEN Loan Servicing, LLC and no results as of yet.

I called her office several times and left messages with no rely and do not even get an update. I call the Wayne County Courthouse, Special Proceeding for property/wills and have an active case but, on or about April 24, 2017 was the last time anything was filed. What do I do on my case?

I want my mother to be on the new deed with my father, as this property was not intended to be heir property, in accordance to my father, as me mentioned during the time he will his portion to me in 2011. He regret what he has done to my mother because; he does not have knowledge of how to fix it. This is why my mother reached out to Lawyer Gaston and introduced him to be for assistance. At least with him, I have 3 quick claim deeds completed which increased my share from 56.25% to 75%. However, I received nothing, to this date from Lawyer Bowens.

I want this case satisfied so, the house can be sold and my mother and I can move on with Goldsboro, NC behind us forever.
