Have been a patient of Durham internal medicine for many years, my doctor left after Novant changed CEOs. It took 3 months to get in to see the new doctor assigned to me, Dr. Parks. I was looking forward to meeting her, but because of traffic and a delay at the front desk of Novant medicine, one person handling mutiple patients, I was ten minutes late and she refused to see me. No one ask if I needed to be seen or how much taking off work cost to see her.
I have a complexed medical history and needed to be seen and medications adjusted. She did not care and Novant administrator was equally uninterested in patient care. It was very clear it was all about production and not patient care.
By wife just happens to be an internist and when I went by her office to tell her what happen during lunch, she could not see me because one of her patients was two hours late because of mixing up her times and my wife was see her, because she is a real doctor.
