In 1904, Dr. Nathan Rosenstein was issued the 4th license to practice optometry in the state of North Carolina. Dr. Nathan Rosenstein served as the president of the North Carolina State Optometric Society three times. In 1928 he served as the president of the Southern Council of Optometrists for the ten southeastern states. Dr. Abraham Rosenstein graduated from Trinity College, now Duke University, in 1921 and Columbia University’s School of Optometry in 1923. He holds the 90th license to practice optometry issued by the State of North Carolina. Dr. Abraham Rosenstein served one five year term as a member of the North Carolina State Board of Examiners from 1932-1937. Dr. Robert N. Rosenstein graduated from the New England College of Optometry in Boston and in 1974 became the third Rosenstein to practice optometry in Durham. He holds the 888th license to practice optometry in North Carolina. Dr. Robert Rosenstein has served as a clinical examiner for the North Carolina State Board of Examiners, as a member of the admission committee of the American Academy of Optometry, and as a course reviewer for the Council on Optometric Practitioner Education (COPE). In June, 2002 Dr. Rosenstein received the John D. Constabile Distinguished Service Award from the North Carolina State Optometric Society, and in 2013 he received the John D Robinson Clinical Excellence Award. Dr. Aaron Rosenstein graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry with a Doctorate of Optometry in 2011, and from Guilford College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2006. He holds the 2248th license to practice optometry in North Carolina. By joining Rosenstein Vision Center, he has become the fourth generation of Rosenstein to provide eye care to Durham and surrounding areas.
