I lived at Country View Manors for 5 years and my experience was wonderful! Michael, the apartment manager, is the best ...he keeps the grounds looking beautiful all year long! Anytime there was a problem it was fixed in no time! And yes, my entire deposit was returned! I have to say, my time spent there was great and I would recommend living there to anyone!

I have lived at Country View Manors at Dunmore for 5 years and I can't imagine living anywhere else. The comments made by guests 71931 and 74353 are nonsense. There are NO BUGS, management does not enter an apartment or townhouse without prior permission from the renter. I have never heard noise from my neighbors and I've had 3 different families as neighbors. We have NO PROBLEMS here: no loud music or noise, no public drunkenness, no fights, no vandalism, no malicious mischief, no robberies. If you want a beautiful, secure, family-orientated community, you want Country View Manors at Dunmore.

There are pros and cons of CVM, but for us, the pros outweighed the cons. We'd still be there if we hadn't move out of state. The 3 major CONS for us were 1. Thin walls (we slept w/ fans running to drown out the snoring neighbor). 2. Cheap, industrial-style carpet that feels wet all summer because... 3. There's no a/c (& no basement so the ground floor becomes basement-like with moisture) & window units are not allowed. The top 5 PROS (couldn't pick just 3) for us were: 1. Beautifully maintained grounds with a great playground for our kids - snow removal was always prompt and lawns are immaculate. 2. Really wonderful neighbors who I will keep in touch with no matter how far away we move. 3. Attractive kitchen and bathrooms - tile floors, newer appliances, and nice looking cabinetry (maybe not high-end, but still very nice!) 4. Washer/dryer in unit! 5. Although there was no a/c, the location offers amazing cool breezes (and a beautiful view). We enjoyed our stay and I recommend CVM!

I had rented there for 2 years, the staff and owners were amazing, the place is BEAUTIFUL!!! They are on top of the whole place and the way it's run. Anyone who had a problem would probably have a problem with everywhere and every one!!! I guess you can't please everyone. I would recommend it to anyone!!

This complex is a mixed bag. The apartments are fairly new, well laid-out, and spacious. The location is excellent - just off the interstate and convenient to both downtown Scranton and the Dickson City shopping areas. I have also found the management office to be helpful and cooperative.However, be aware that the walls are astonishingly thin. I have lived in various complexes for the last 20 years, so I realize that this is a common issue. Even in comparison to other similar complexes, these walls are terribly thin. You can hear telephone conversations so clearly that you can make out almost every word. And if someone is playing music or watching TV, you might as well have the sound piped into your room.Also, be aware that is no central air conditioning, and my understanding is that window air conditioners are not allowed. Plan to have some uncomfortable days in July and August especially.

It's a real dump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our lease is up soon and we can't wait to get out. The place is infested. Millipedes, silverfish, spiders inside and we find dead mice on our patio. You will freeze your rear ends off here because of the electric heat and the thermostats only go to 70 degrees. They call them luxury townhomes, that's a joke. There is no central air and they will not let you use window airconditioners because they feel it makes the place look unsightly. There are no garbage disposals and all of the fixtures are the cheapest they could find(I'm talking $10.00 light fixtures and plastic towel bars in the bathroom). Interstate 81 runs practically in your backyard, so you can hear the trailers and the traffic all night long. If you do sign a lease here, you will also be signing a huge list of "don'ts". Watch out for the maintenance man, he feels he can walk into your home at any time and nose around through your things.

These apartments are great to rent!!! They are beautiful and the management is great!!! They run this place really well and I am glad to see an involved Landlord to this complex, in Dunmore, PA.
