The Resource Center has been providing services to persons with disabilities in Chautauqua County, N.Y., since 1959. It offers a variety of services, including consumer support, day habilitation, employment support, counseling, family care, housing alternatives, individual residential habilitation, medication management, skills enhancement and vocational evaluation. In addition, it has a manufacturing division that offers production services to local, regional and national companies, as well as the Department of Defense. The center is certified by various government agencies, including the Commission for the Blind and Visually Handicapped, the Department of Health and the Department of Social Services. It is also affiliated with National Industries for the Severely Handicapped and the New York State Association of Community and Residential Agencies. The Resource Center is located in Dunkirk, N.Y.
