Dunkerton Community Schools, located in Dunkerton, Iowa, is a public school that comprises an elementary and a high school. The elementary school enrolls more than 300 students and offers classes from prekindergarten through grade six. Its early childhood education classes develop a child's positive attitude toward school and learning and provides foundation experiences which enhance the child's physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth. Elementary school offers an integrated language arts program which includes reading, process writing, spelling, and grammar, and math and science classes use a hands-on computational skills program.
