When my son opened this shop in 1991, in order to help him get off to a good start on his own - he had plenty of previous experience working for Mister Minute and later Hakky in various area malls - I told people that I worked with (Federal Government, Woodlawn) that I would take and return and shoe work they needed done to/from him. I would not have done so if I hadn't been sure that his work was of the best quality because I had to work with these people each day. I continued doing this for over 15 years until I retired and I can truthfull say that I never received a single complaint. In fact my "customers" list eventually grew into the hundreds, many of whom were regulars. And it wasn't just shoes that Jim repaired. In addition to repairing purses and zippers, he's never met a leather job he couldn't fix. I couldn't be more proud of him. If you want something along those lines done right, his shop is the place to go, believe me.

Wow. Clarke is an American! I have called around to other shoe repair shops in the Baltimore area and it seems they are all run by foreigners. Clarke speaks English. He also is very knowledgeable and an excellent craftsman. I am so glad that I found him. I am telling all of my friends/
