Duncan Elementary School, located in Duncan, S.C., is a coeducational institution that offers academic classes to students in kindergarten through grade three. It is a part of District Five Schools of Spartanburg County, which operates more than 10 elementary, middle and high schools. The school operates a library media center that supports the accelerated reader program to support the school curriculum. Duncan Elementary School employs a work force of over 75 full-time, certified classroom teachers, a bookkeeper, attendance clerk, and special education teachers and assistants. In addition, it has a team of literacy interventionists, curriculum and technology facilitators, school psychologists, guidance counselors, media specialists, and health and physical education aides.
