Founded in 1991, Montclair Elementary School enrolls more than 600 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as language arts, social studies, art, music and physical education. It offers reading recovery, English as a Second Language, gifted and talented education, reading recovery, mentoring and special education programs. The school has a store that is operated by its students with special needs. It provides guidance counseling to students, as well as organizes field trips and science fairs. The school involves parents in various programs, such as fundraising projects, Box Tops for Education, spirit wear sales and back-to-school nights. Montclair Elementary School is governed by Prince William County Public Schools and is located in Dumfries, Va.
