Founded in 1955, Duffield Primary School educates students in kindergarten through grade four and serves as a feeder school to Rye Cove Intermediate School. Duffield Primary School conducts classes in various subjects, including reading, math, science, history, music and physical education. Additionally, it supports the Accelerated Reader Computerized Reading Management program, which enables students to work on their own and proceed at their reading level and speed. Duffield Primary School features a library that houses more than 8,000 books and materials for students, teachers and parents. In addition, it has computers with Internet access. Duffield Primary School is a part of Scott County Public Schools and is located in Duffield, Va.
