Bailey Elementary School offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes Title I mathematics, Spanish, reading, social studies and science. Its Bailey Bishops Chess Club was established 2003 and offers all students an opportunity to learn and play chess in a club-like atmosphere. Its multicultural education department prepares the students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be successful as they enter a multiethnic, pluralistic and interdependent work force. It offers special programs for talented and gifted students and each student is screened before school begins by a school psychologist, speech pathologist and grade level personnel. The school additionally offers health and transportation services and provides a safe and drug-free schools program that aims to empower young people to make positive choices, enhancing life through freedom from violence, alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
