Tunstall Fire & Rescue works to preserve and protect lives and property through fire suppression and prevention, advanced life support and search and rescue services. It is comprised of more than 70 emergency medical technicians, firefighters and paramedics. The agency operates a training division that offers certification courses and conducts classes on various topics, such as hazardous material awareness, vehicle extrication, and in-house fire and rescue training classes. Tunstall Fire & Rescue maintains a dispatch center that responds to emergency calls. The department utilizes a fleet of pumpers, tankers, crash and brush trucks, utility vans and life support ambulances. Tunstall Fire & Rescue is located in Danville, Va.
