Incorporated in 1950, The Penray Companies manufacture chemicals for the heavy-duty and automotive industries. The company has four divisions: heavy-duty, automotive, export and custom manufacturing. The heavy-duty division, known as Power Fleet, markets Pencool engine products such as antifreeze inhibitors, coolant additives, diesel fuel additives and coolant filters. The automotive division markets products for repair technicians and do-it-yourself customers. Penray exports market products to more than 40 countries worldwide, with labels and catalogs offered in foreign languages. The custom product division offers custom formulations and packaging to customers. Penray's main plants are in Elk Grove Village and Wheeling, Ill., and manufacture liquid and aerosol products.
