I got a referral to see this doctor and the receptionist was not wearing a mask when she returned to the desk. When I inquired to why she wasn’t she said she was vaccinated. I mentioned that there is a mask mandate in Illinois and she replied that the doctor didn’t wear a mask so why would they. I saw the doctor walk by not wearing a mask. She then told my referring dentist who inquired why they weren’t wearing masks that she had removed it to eat and forgot to put it back on. I am very upset that she lied about the interaction and most of all that a healthcare facility isn’t masking.

Dr. Poulson and his team are great at what they do! I've had multipule root canals and each has been a pain-free experience. (It's true!) Dr. Poulson even anesthetizes without me feeling a pinch. And as if performing the precision work of root canals doesn't exhibit enough skill on it's own, I've challenged him with surprise tooth anatomy including hidden extra roots and hook-shaped twists.

The office staff and Dr. Poulson have a light and friendly demeanor that puts patients at ease, but is professional enough that you know you're in good hands. They operate like a well-oiled machine. Not only have they helped me navigate my insurance, they have shown great patience in answering my many (too many) questions. I have recommended Apex to friends and family and will continue to do so. Let's face it, you don't want just anyone using a diamond drill bit to make holes in your face... Dr. Poulson is your man.
