Provided by YP.comBrought a transmission from them with a 30 day warranty on the part & it never worked. Paid $ 901 for the transmission, $ 50 core charge & $ 1,000 for the installation. The vehicle was AWD & took 24 hrs to installed. After the installation, LEBARRON'S quickly snatched the removed transmission that was better then the one sold. The torque converter is bad in the new transmission. LEBARRON'S has a warranty that they DO NOT pay for labor. Scott offered me several ridiculous was to fix the transmission by supplying a new converter for ME to get installed. When installing a converter, the entire transmission needs to be flushed & rebuilt. Why would or should I have to do that? Scott given a random ECM out of another vehicle to get flashed to fix the converter. Took the car to the Mitsubishi dealer to get the ECM flashed, given by Scott, & they told me that flashing the computer would be wasting my $200.The car is unsafe to drive. Scott has offered me a refund, but I have to have the transmission removed for $1,000 and I would get $ 901 back but then have to pay for another transmission or have the old one installed which is pointless. That would be over $ 3,000. The price of a different vehicle. Scott said personally, that he drove the vehicle with the transmission & it worked fine. But there could be no explanation what happened to the part from when the transmission was driven, removed, transported & installed. My elderly mother drove the vehicle to take her grandson to the bus EVERY MORNING and now other arrangements have to be made or they walk. This happened in October & we wanted to avoid having to deal with the harsh weather conditions.
I hope that people would read this & see what type of company LEBARRON'S AUTO SALVAGE operates. They will sell you a major part and if it doesn't work, you have to pay to get it operational for a part that never worked. DON'T BUY anything major from them that you can't be proven that it worked before you purchased it.
